Kaya and her stitches

Kaya had to get stitches on March 30. She was swinging around on a chin up bar, practicing her gymnastics. The bar fell and she fell it hit her in the head and she has a huge gash. This was totally my fault. It came with reinforcements but I was making dinner and didn't think she weighed that much anyways so I didn't put them in the wall. Kaya only cried when it first happened with all the blood. I was giving her some tylenol before we left and was holding her telling her it was going to be fine and she says "I hope so Mom", how heart renching. We dropped Isabel off at a friends and went to the hospital. Kaya did such a great job. Heck I did such a great job, I only teared up a couple times. One was when she was talking to the nurse getting her temp, blood pressure and all that jazz taken. We were letting her answer the questions since they were being directed at he. She is such a big girl, she started tearing up when she was telling what happened. I thought she'd burst into tears she is kind of sensitive that way but she pulled it together and was happy from there on. She was laughing and playing around with us. Even when they went to stitch her up no flinching, or moving at all, she didn't even squeeze my hand. I was amazed and a little sad that she didn't need any comfort. In the end she got 5 stitches, some toys from the nurse and a chocolate milk shake. Hopefully the scarring will be minimal.

Going to the Temple and I'm......

Not getting married but that is the song that gets stuck in my head every time I think about going to the Temple. The date is set, 23 January 2010, people have been invited and I am looking forward to it. I am sad that my Mom is not able to come down and do this with me but hopefully one of these days we will be able to go together. But I have a GREAT Ward family here and they are my support system here. Little do they know what a big role they are playing in my life but they are, and I am grateful for each and everyone of them. I love this ward they really feel like family, like I have found the place I belong. I know this is where I am suppose to be right now, people were brought into my life to uplift me and teach me to show me where I want to be heading. So thank you to my Mom who got me active in Church again once Isabel was born, and with her help I threw myself in to make sure that I could stay there where I wanted to be. Now 2 1/2 years later I am on my way to the Temple for me! Thank you everyone for your love and support!!!

Summer is nearly here

I am so excited we have started swimming 2 weeks ago. It is still mostly spring, with all the storms that have been moving through the Valley. The 7 day forecast is saying we will get into the 90's by late next week. Crazy! This last week we have had our friends over twice and that has been great for Kaya she is getting more comfortable being in the water and wearing her floaty swim suit or her life jacket. Unfortunately Isabel has been getting apprehensive about getting in the water. Maybe it is because there are more people in the pool than she is use to. I am so glad that we ended p buying this house.

We just had our sewing class last week and I have learned how to make a couple quilt blocks. And it has been tons of fun. I finally finished the table runner from the last sewing class. I had been procrastinating truing up the edges and putting the binding on, and then it turns out I forgot exactly how to put the binding on it came back mostly and it looks nice. I have been sewing a good bit this week. I also finished dresses for the girls. Kaya's is Dora and Isabel's is Tinkerbell. It is the material that is scrunchy on the top and then flared at the bottom I put some cap sleeves on it and I am happy with the way that it turned out.

So I have been practicing for the last couple months for this performance at church that the young women and relief society from our stake are putting on and the performance is tomorrow night. We had our dress rehearsal this morning and I felt like I did so much better this morning than any other time we have practiced and I am so excited about tomorrow. Chad is bringing the girls and I am praying that he will feel the spirit since this is the first church thing he has been to since he came to church shortly after we got married.

December......so busy

December has been a big month for us. We found a house the very end of November and we were able to close mid month. From there is has been a whirl wind of packing, moving, unpacking, and trying to get the house all situated in time for Christmas. We have done a good job I would say that we are about 95% unpacked in the week we have been in the house.

We had a great Christmas....I love watching the girls they get so excited about everything. We made white chocolate popcorn for Santa and left carrots for the reindeer. Santa left the girls a note thanking them for the treats and to tell them they should continue being good girls all next year as well.

Kaya has one more week in nursery and then she will be off to Primary my little Sunbeam. Today in the car she started singing us a song that went something like this: "I have a little turtle. I think he drank the soap. And bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble, POP. " It was so cute when she started singing. Both the girls are starting gymnastics the beginning of January as well I know they will have a great time, they are always jumping all over the place now and hanging on the ladders when they are out and the closet poles. They are a bunch of little monkeys. But so much fun. Chad is always afraid that they (mostly Isabel) will be get hurt.

The last two weeks

Oh my goodness these last two weeks have been so crazy! We'll start with halloween....I loved it I think that is one of my favortie holidays candy and dressing up how much better can it get. I was finally able to get Chad to dress up and I am so happy about that. He dressed up in his karate outfit, I was Rapunzel, Kaya was Sleeping Beauty, and Isabel was Snow White. Unfortunatley we didn't get a family picture and the ones that we did get all in all weren't the best.

The next day was Kaya's 3rd birthday. The party went extremely well. We colored butterflies, jumped in the bouncy house, played with some bean bags and boxes, had some pizza and cake, pinned the glass slipper Cinderella, broke open a pinata and opened presents. I think the party was well scheduled there wasn't too much down time for the kids and they weren't running from one thing to the next either. I made a tiara cake for Kaya and unfortunately the only picture we got of it is while I an cutting it up. Chad needs to be schooled on what pictures he should be taking. But oh well. That evening we went to dinner at Geisha steak and sushi house with Grandpa Paulson and some of out adult friends that like Kaya. We sat at the hibachi grill, Isabel was afraid of the fire which was a little sad the chef cut his routine a little short because of that. But the dinner was great! For that dinner I made a princess gown cake with Kaya's first barbie in it, and I did get a picture of that one at the last minute. I had started to cut into when I remembered I needed a picture. Kaya has now been talking about her birthday coming up so I have to tell her that Jesus' birthday is coming next and then Daddy's then Isabel's and then mine and then it will be her birthday again. Time such a hard concept.

On the 8th Chad and I found two houses that we liked and put offers in on both of them. On Monday we had a counter offer on the one that I liked best and we accepted that. Now we are just waiting to hear about the other house as well. Veteran's day on Tuesday has slowed things down on their part a little bit. The house that we have accepted already wants to close by Dec 12 that is just amazing cause it is less than a month away. It is just crazy to think that we will be in a house of our own again before Christmas! I am praying that we have as much physical support in the moving process from this ward as we had from the last. Our last ward was a blessing there were so many people that showed up with their own trucks and gear and we were moved out of our old house in 2 hours, and unloaded in even less. I now need to find some boxes!

So here is some information about the houses we put offers in on.
Mine: A 2 story house, with 3 bedrooms and a loft upstairs, a nice big kitchen, more cabinet space than I have now, 2 car garage, the garage comes right into the kitchen, there is a seperate living room and family room, a big blank backyard, and this house is 2 houses away from a park.

Chad's: A 1 story house, 3 car garage, 4 bedroom, a nice big kitchen, with lots of cabinets and drawers, a pool, and it is in a cul-de-sac.

It will be a hard choice if we get a counter on the house that Chad likes as well. But one that we are willing to make. We will have to see what happens.....and you will have to keep checking back to see what happens!

AAAAHHHHHH!

I just got an email from amazon saying that the rest of my order has shipped.....we should have the bouncy house in time for Kaya's birthday party!! Ah a little bit of piece of mind. Now I just need to figure out what else to do for the party. :)
